The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad (WMSR) is a heritage railroad operating between Cumberland and Frostburg, MD. Their roundhouse and locomotive shops are located in Ridgeley, WV. As of today, the railroad operates both steam and diesel-powered tourist excursion trains. In January 2024, the WMSR recently acquired the abandoned Georges Creek Division between the CSX Transportation interchange at Westernport, MD and Borden Shaft, MD through a long-term lease.
