The Western Maryland Railroad’s class H7 were a class of 2-8-0 Consolidation type steam locomotives built for the WM by Baldwin Locomotive Works and ALCO-Richmond between 1910 and 1911.
The class was divided in 2 batches the first 6 were classified as H7 and 30 were classified as H7a. The class H7’s were numbered 701-706 the class H7a were numbered 707-736 a total of 36 were built. But sadly all were retired from service between 1930 and 1954. All 36 were scrapped and no examples have been preserved.
