Union Pacific No. 6537 was a class C-57 2-8-0 "Consolidation" steam locomotive that was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in March 1903 for the Union Pacific Railroad as #977, and used in freight service for much of its career.
It was renumbered 537 in 1915, and then later added a 6 to the number to renumbered the engine as 6537 in March 1958.
Later that same year in 1958 the locomotive was retired from active service and later it was sold for scrap after when diesels replace steam.

- There was a Union Pacific GE AC4400CW that has the number 6537.
- The engine was shown briefly in UP's Last Of The Giants while double-heading a freight train with Union Pacific No. 2295.
- It was never built for passenger service since it was commonly assigned for freight service.
