Union Pacific #117 on Devils Gate bridge in Utah.

Union Pacific No. 117 is a 4-4-0 "American" Type steam locomotive, built by the Rogers Locomotive and Machine Works of Paterson, New Jersey in 1868 for the Union Pacific Railroad, who used it for freight service.

Besides hauling freight trains the locomotive helped built the First Transcontinental Railroad along with her sister The 119 until it was completed on May 10, 1869.

The 117 continued hauling freight trains until 1903, when it was retired and sold for scrap for $1,000 along with the original 119 so today the 117 doesn't exist anymore.
