US Navy No. 7 is an 0-4-0T Tank locomotive that preserved at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, IL.
History[]
Built by the Vulcan Iron Works of Wilkes Barre, PA, in 1917 as a coal burner, #7 was later converted to burn oil.
It was sold first to the scrap dealer Birmingham Rail & Locomotive Co., then to the American Creosote Works in Jackson, TN, as #7 in 1942, it was donated to the museum in 1965 where it today sits on static display.
