The Tobu Museum (Japanese: 東武博物館 Tōbu Hakubutsukan) is a railway museum that was established in May of 1989 and is currently located in Sumida, Tokyo, Japan.

The Tobu Museum was established in May of 1989 at Sumida in Tokyo, Japan, and as of today, they currently preserve many locomotives that were operated by the railways of Japan.

Trivia[]

  • The museum has several pickup exhibits, one of them being a steam locomotive show that is held 4 times a day. In it, they use No. 5 to recreate a scene of a steam locomotive moving via electric motors located under its wheels.
  • No. 5 was originally restored into its 1898 appearance prior to its display at the museum.
  • The museum owns a 8000 series set which was restored to working order in 2012 and runs special events.
