The TGV Atlantique is a high-speed EMU that runs on the SNCF TGV high-speed rail network, in France. These trains are the second generation of TGVs, the first being the TGV Sud-Est.

History[]

The Atlantique was made between 1988 and 1992, and they entered service in '89. They are still in service today. A modified Atlantique, it had only three carriages, made a top speed of 310 mph (500 km/h) just before the opening of the LGV Atlantique.

105 bi-current Atlantique trainsets have been produced.
