Steam Tram Motor No. 103A, was built in 1881 by Baldwin Locomotive Works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA under makers number 11676. It was one of 90 Baldwin steam trams operating in Sydney that were built for and operated by the New South Wales Government Tramways (NSWGT) of Australia.
In 1937 the NSWGT closed down causing the steam tram motors to be withdrawn from service and replaced by a trolley bus service. !03A along with two other locomotives were sold to Sydney Ferries to run on the Parramatta Tramway carrying passengers and parcels along the line. It operated on this line until its closure in 1943. It was then moved to Waddingtons at Granville where it was used as a yard shunter. In 1954 it was sold to the Tramway Preservation Group at Parramatta Park where it ran passenger trains on the park tramway.

103A in 2015
In 1993 an arson attack at the park locomotive shed destroyed nearly all their collection. 103A lost all its woodwork, but no major structural damage was caused. Following this event, the group moved their remaining locomotives to the Valley Heights Roundhouse Museum. 103A eventually had its damaged woodwork and parts replaced and repaired. 103A still resides at the museum hauling passenger carriages about two times a month.
