Southwold Railway No.3 'Blyth' was a side tank locomotive.
History[]
Blyth was built in 1879 by Sharp, Stewart and company as works number 2850 for use on the 3 ft gauge Southwold Railway as their number 3. When the railway closed in 1929 Blyth was stored at Halesworth along with all remaining Southwold Railway Stock until 1941 when it was scrapped for munitions to aid in WWII.
Replica[]
A replica of Blyth is being constructed by the North Bay Railway Engineering Services and is going to be completed in some time in 2021.
