Southern Pacific No. 7556 was an SD45R diesel locomotive built by the Electro-Motive Division (EMD) for the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1968.

History[]

Southern Pacific No. 7556 was built for the Southern Pacific Railroad and it had entered service on the Southern Pacific that same year in 1968.

When it was first built, it was first painted in Southern Pacific's "Bloody Nose" livery, but it would eventually be painted into the "Kodachome" livery of the failed merger between Southern Pacific and Santa Fe in 1993.

It would be retired from service on the Southern Pacific and was sadly scrapped.
