Southern Pacific No. 7552 was an SD45R diesel locomotive built by the Electro-Motive Division (EMD) for the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1967.

History[]

Southern Pacific No. 7552 was built for the Southern Pacific Railroad and it had entered service on the Southern Pacific that same year in 1967. When it was first built, it was originally numbered as 8912 and was first painted in Southern Pacific's "Bloody Nose" livery, but it would eventually be renumbered to 7552 and was later repainted into the "Kodachome" livery of the failed merger between Southern Pacific and Santa Fe in 1993.[1]

It would be retired from service on the Southern Pacific and passed onto Montana Rail Link as #324 where it still remains as MRL #324 even to this day.[2]
