Southern Pacific No. 4274 was a class AC-11 4-8-8-2 "Cab-Forward" type steam locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1943 and one of the last steam locomotives delivered to the Southern Pacific Railroad (SP).
It was put into storage in 1956, but was fired up in 1957 for the last steam-hauled service - an excursion train - over Donner Pass, known to be the Cab-Forwards' stomping ground. After the excursion was finished, the 4274 was retired and scrapped the same year.
