Southern Pacific No. 3200 was an EMD SDP45 that was built by the Electro-Motive Division (EMD) for the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1967.

History[]

Southern Pacific No. 3200 was constructed in 1967 by the Electro-Motive Division (EMD) and was delivered to the Southern Pacific Railroad that same year in 1967, it was built for passenger service on the Southern Pacific Railroad where it was classified by the Southern Pacific Railroad as a "EP636-1".

In 1985, No. 3200 was tried in freight service, so it was reclassified by the the Southern Pacific Railroad as a "EF636-13" and used as a freight locomotive. In 1989, No. 3200 was involved in a fire that had destroyed the locomotive, the damage done to No. 3200 was so bad that it was retired from service in 1990 and sold off, Southern Pacific No. 3200 was sadly scrapped in 1992.
