SP No. 2656 in "Murder in the Private Car"

Southern Pacific RR No. 2656 was a 2-8-0 'Consolidation' type steam locomotive it was built in 1906 by the American Locomotive Company (ALCO) of Schenectady for the Southern Pacific Railway. It was built for passenger service, and used in freight service on the Southern Pacific railroad. It was retired sometime in the 1950s and was shortly scrapped.
