South West Trains is a railway operating company in the United Kingdom that operates the South Western railway franchise.

History[]

The current service was created in two phases, as Stagecoast bid for both the South Western and Island Line franchises, and they where later merged to create the service we know today, although the two services retain differnt livery and branding, the Island Line Trains using a red 'heratige' livery.

Operations[]

The company's main route is a trunk London to 'The West' route, via Exeter, Bristol, and Sailsbury. around this route, they operate a small set suburban and link services to nearby locations. They no longer run any trains east of Exeter, as the Exeter to Dawlish service was withdrawn.
