Santa Fe (ATSF) No. 1838 was a "Prairie" type 2-6-2 steam locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1903 for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway.

It was built for both freight and passenger trains on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway for much of its life.

The engine was retired in 1955 and was sold for scrap.

  • The engine made a cameo appearance in "Loaded for War", "There Goes a Train", and "Train Songs".
