SR USA Class No. 30065 was designed by Col. Howard G. Hill. and was constructed in 1943 by the Vulcan Foundry and was delivered to the Southern Railway that same year, it served in revenue service until it was withdrawn from active service in August 1965, and it had survived into preservation, it was donated to the Kent and East Sussex Railway and is currently undergoing an overhaul.
