The SNCF 14O.H.1 to 1045, were Consolidation 2-8-0 tender locomotives, built by The American Locomotive Co. for the US Army, when fighting in France during WW1, and for the French Railways at the end of War World 1. This locomotives were based on the French État 140-101 to 370 class locomotives. After the War, in order to systematically prevent complete re-boration of locomotives when they are transferred to other SNCF regions, It had been decided, to group every locomotives in one class, the 140.H class.
