The C801B (Contract 801B), also known as the NCX1, is a Singaporean automated people mover operated by the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit on the Bukit Panjang LRT Line since August 2024.
History[]
The C810Bs were produced for use on the Bukit Panjang LRT Line and are the third type of rolling stock to be used on that line; the cars were procured to boost the capacity of the Bukit Panjang LRT Line and replace the old C801s which had been in use since 1999. The trains were built from 2018 to 2021 by CRRC Puzhen Bombardier Transportation Systems in Anhui, China; when Alstom acquired Bombardier's rail business they took over production as well. The first car, 134, was delivered in April 2022, where it underwent infrequent nighttime testing before it was sent back to China around April 2024 for modifications, along with 133.
The cars were first spotted doing daytime test runs in July 2024. The first cars, 135 and 136, entered service on 1 August 2024.
Design[]
Car bodies are constructed of aluminum. The sets are painted in a variation of the "Pixels" corporate livery of the SMRT Corporation, consisting of a white body with black accents and gray, white and teal hexagons shaped like pixels. The SMRT roundel is emblazoned on the side of the cars, just behind and below the cab. The Land Transport Authority's logo is emblazoned on the sides and front of the cars.
Each train features smart glass which tints in range of public housing for privacy reasons.

The C801Bs are the third generation of automated people movers used on SMRT's light rail transit network. Alstom's CITYFLO 650 CBTC system is used to control the trains. The trains are the first SMRT light rail vehicles to use variable frequency drives, utilizing Alstom's MITRAC 600 IGBT traction system.
