No. 48 "Finn" was a class M (originally LNWR DX) 0-6-0 steam locomotive that was originally built for the London And North Western Railway by LNWR's Crewe Works in 1862. The DX were built for goods trains from 1858 to 1874. In 1862 Statens Järnvägar wanted to compare with Beyer Peacock's design, SJ purchased one of them (No. 575).
