No. 1342 was a class J 2-6-4 steam locomotive that was built for Statens Järnvägar in 1917.

Incident In Vansbro[]

In the 1950s, a timber truck slipped off the road because of two curves, new snow and worn tires. The tires were worn out because of World War 2. The truck worked in Vansbro and was built by Mercedes Benz. Luckily, the driver managed to get the truck stop. No. 1342 was stationed at Vansbro at the time and was passing through soon after the incident.

The engine was withdrawn in 1969 and scrapped in Juåns in 1971.
