The class C3 were a class of 4-4-0 steam locomotives originally built for the Varberg - Borås Järnväg by Nohab in 1898. They were numbered 7 & 8 and were inside-cylinder engines and were designed for passenger trains. In 1912 and 1925 they were acutally returned back to Nohab to be fitted with superheaters. In 1930 When the VBJ was merged with the Varberg - Borås - Herrljunga Järnväg, 7 & 8 were allowed to kept their numbers. In 1940 they were in Statens Järnvägar's collection after the VBHJ was merged with SJ and were renumbered to 1532 and 1533. 1532 was the first oen to be retired in 1949 and was scrapped in 1953, a year after the scrapping of its sibling 1533 was withdrawn in 1954 and was scrapped in 1956.
