The C810D (Contract 810D) is a Singaporean automated people mover scheduled to be operated by the Singapore Mass Rapid Transit from 2025 on the Sengkang and Punggol LRT Lines.
History[]
The C801Ds were produced for use on the Sengkang and Punggol LRT Lines and are the third type of rolling stock to be used on that line; the cars were procured to boost the capacity of both lines. The trains will be built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries at their plant in Hiroshima, Japan. The trains will be delivered from 2024 to 2027 and replace the older unmodified C810 trains which can only run in single-car formations. 17 trains were initially ordered but this was later increased to 25 with a second order.
These are the first light rail rolling stock used on the Singapore light rail network coupled in married pairs. The first two sets, 58 and 59, were delivered in November 2024. They are expected to enter service in the third quarter of 2025.
Design[]
Car bodies are constructed of a weighed aluminum alloy. The sets feature a similar livery to the older C810s and C810As, being painted with a white body with dark blue accents on most surfaces. Land Transport Authority logos are emblazoned on the fronts and sides of each car, with "Sengkang-Punggol LRT" emblazoned below the front windows of each car. The serial number of each car can be found on the left of the cab ends of each car in large numbering.
These may be differentiated from the previous rolling stock due to the use of a single large headlight placed within the pilot.

The C810Ds are the third generation of automated people movers used on SBS Transit's rail transit network. Kyosan's APM fixed block system is used to control the trains. The trains are equipped with Mitsubishi IGBT variable frequency drives.
