C&TS No. 483 is a K-36 class 2-8-2 "Mikado" type narrow gauge steam locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1925 for the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad (D&RGW). It is currently owned by the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad (C&TS). It was the first steam locomotive to operate at the C&TS in 1970 and was later retired from operation in 1977.

In 2015, it was almost traded to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad (D&SNG) in exchange for class K-28 steam locomotive 478, but ultimately, the swap never went through. As of 2016, it is undergoing a full cosmetic restoration in Chama, NM. While it is no longer operational, sister class K-36 locomotives 484, 487, 488, and 489 are still in service on the C&TS as of today, with 489 later being converted to burn oil in early June 2021 and 487 also currently being converted to burn oil as of late October 2023.
