The Railroading Heritage of Midwest America (RRHMA) is a non-profit organization based at the former Rock Island Railroad shops and yard in Silvis, IL. The group focuses on preserving steam locomotives, diesel locomotives, and other railroading equipment with the goal of restoring most of it to operating condition for use in excursion service.
The organization was founded by the Friends of the 261, the current owners and operators of Milwaukee Road 4-8-4 No. 261, which currently operates excursions out of Minneapolis, MN.
