History[]

Pennsylvania Railroad No. 4647 was constructed by the Pullman Company and the Electro-Motive Corporation (EMC) (later Electro-Motive Division (EMD)) and designated as a class "GEW275". It was one of the six examples of the class GEW275 and it was delivered to the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1928.
