The PKP Class SN60 is a class of four diesel multiple unit railcars that were built by Ganz Holdings Co. Ltd. for the Polish State Railways (PKP) in 1956.

History[]

In the mid 1950s, the Polish State Railways (PKP) needed more diesel multiple units for usage on their non-electrified lines on their system, so Ganz Holdings Co. Ltd, who was tasked on constructing more diesel multiple units for Polish State Railways had constructed and delivered four examples of what became the PKP Class SN60.

The first example of the PKP Class SN60 was constructed in 1956 by Ganz Holdings Co. Ltd. and they kept rolling out of the works until the last one was completed in 1956, and they entered service on the Polish State Railways (PKP) that same year, in 1956.

Withdrawal of the class had commenced in 1982, and the last example of the class was withdrawn from service and all four examples of the PKP's SN60 were scrapped, thus rendering them extinct. All that's left of the PKP Class SN60 is their sister class known to be PKP Class SN61, which bears some similar looks to the Class SN60.
