The PKP Class SN52 is a class of 50 diesel multiple unit railcars that were built by Ganz Holdings Co. Ltd. for the Polish State Railways (PKP) between 1954 and 1955.

History[]

In the early to mid 1950s, the Polish State Railways (PKP) needed more diesel multiple units for usage on their non-electrified lines on their system, so Ganz Holdings Co. Ltd, who was tasked on constructing more diesel multiple units for Polish State Railways had constructed and delivered 50 examples of what became the PKP Class SN52.

The first example of the PKP Class SN52 was constructed in 1954 by Ganz Holdings Co. Ltd. and they kept rolling out of the works until the last one was completed in 1955, and they entered service in after they were constructed between 1954-1955.

Withdrawal of the class had commenced in 1986, and the last example of the class was withdrawn from service and all but one were scrapped.

SN52-38 was constructed by Ganz Holdings Co. Ltd and was retired in 1986 and was placed on static display in a museum.
