The PKP Class SM25 was a class of three switcher type diesel locomotives that were built by Fablok for the Polish State Railways (PKP) between 1961-1963.

History[]

Construction and Delivery[]

In all, only three examples of the class were built Fablok, for the Polish State Railways (PKP), those members were SM25-001, SM25-002 and SM25-003, and they were all delivered to the Polish State Railways (PKP) the same year they were constructed between 1961 and 1963.

Withdrawal[]

All three examples of the class were withdrawn from active service in 1973, and out of the three locomotives in the class, SM25-001 and SM25-003 were scrapped, leaving SM25-002 in preservation.

PKP SM25-002 was constructed in 1962 and was retired from service in 1973 and was donated to the Warsaw Railway Museum where it was placed on static display at the museum and still remains on display at the museum to this very day.
