The PKP Class EN61 is the sole example of an electric multiple unit built by Newag for the Polish State Railways (PKP) in 2006.

History[]

In the 2000s, the Polish State Railways (PKP) needed another electric multiple units for usage on their system, so Newag, who was tasked on constructing an electric multiple unit for Polish State Railways had constructed and delivered a sole example of what had eventually became the PKP Class EN61, only one example was ever constructed by Newag in 2006 and it was delivered to the Polish State Railways the same year after it was constructed, in 2006.

It had entered service the same year after it was constructed which was in 2006 and its unknown what happened to it afterwards.
