1 is an class U2 0-6-0 saddle tank engine that was built for the Oxelösund - Flen - Västmanlands Järnväg by Sharp, Stewart and Company in 1874. 1 and its siblings could handle passenger and goods trains for the railway. In 1910 the engine got a new boiler from North British Locomotive Works. It was last fired up in 1924 and finally withdrawn in 1930, however instead of being scrapped it was left abandoned, this would spare 1 from being scrapped. By 1954 it was the only U2 to remain because the last U2, No. 6 was scrapped in 1954. In 1977 the engine was sold to eskilstuna stadsmuseum in Västerås.
