NovaScotiaSteel&CoalCo.No.8

Nova Scotia Steel & Coal Co. No. 8 is a 2-4-0 steam locomotive built in 1900 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the Nova Scotia Steel & Coal Co. as #8

It was built as a switcher for the Nova Scotia Steel & Coal Co. for much of it’s career. It was then later restored by the Old Sydney Colliery Company.

Upon its retirement many years later it was donated to the Dominion Steel Co. and later renumbered as #25 in Sydney, NS, and then to the Canadian Railway Museum in October 1962 where it sits on static display.

As of today this little engine is still on public display at the Canadian Railway Museum in Delson, PQ, Canada.
