Northern Pacific No. 1031 is a class L-7 0-6-0 steam engine it was built by Alco in 1903 for the Northern Pacific railway.
This was the last steam switcher to operate in Northern Pacific’s Billings, MT, yard until it was retired from service in 1956 and then donated to the Yellowstone County museum.
