Marin was a 4-4-0 steam locomotive built in 1876 by Baldwin Locomotive Works for the North Pacific Coast Railroad. Marin was one of the first engines to be commissioned by the NPCRR despite being a american. Marin was renumbered to 82 because of the 2-8-0s of the North Shore Railroad (Successor to North Pacific Coast) in 1907 into The Northwestern Pacific to avoid the counfussion with trains of the standard gauge engines and the engine already operated for 31 years thus why it never ran after the renumbering. In 1911 it was deemed that maintenace on the engine was too costly so the engine was scrapped instead.
