The Norfolk and Western No. 422 was an M-class 4-8-0 steam locomotive. It was built in 1906 by ALCO for the Norfolk and Western.
The locomotive was used for freight service on the Norfolk and Western Railroad.
In 1958 the engine was retired from service and it was sold for scrap.
