N&W #382 operating on the Norfolk and Western Railway.

Norfolk and Western No. 382 was a class M 4-8-0 steam locomotive. It was built in 1906 by Alco for the Norfolk and Western Railway.

The locomotive spent most of its life on the Norfolk and Western Railway for freight service, but in later years, the 382 went to the Abingdon Branch where it worked on the branch line.

It was also featured in photographs including the coverage of a audio recording made by America's most renowned photographer; O. Winston Link.

The locomotive was sold for scrap when it was retired.
