Norfolk and Western No. 1207 was a 2-6-6-4 type steam locomotive built in 1936 by the N&W's Roanoke Shops for the Norfolk and Western Railroad.
It was used for fast freight trains, but they also used it to pull heavy coal trains on the flatter districts of the Norfolk & Western system, and reportedly even pulled heavy passenger trains at times.
It worked on the railroad until the end of steam in 1959, and the locomotive was sadly sold for scrap.
