NKP590

Nickel Plate Road No. 590 is an H-6o class 2-8-2 "Mikado" type steam locomotive built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philadelphia, PA in 1918, originally for the Lake Erie & Western Railroad as #5544.

Later the Lake Erie & Western Railroad renumbered it as Nickel Plate Road No. 590.

On September 12, 1943, it derailed in Brocton, NY.

It was repaired, and it operated until the engine was retried from service on February 1944, and was later scrapped.
