New York Central No. 6894 was built by Alco in June 1912 as an 0-6-0 type steam locomotive for the New York Central railroad.
It was delivered as Michigan Central #8794 and was renumbered to its present number in 1936. It is a classed as a B-10W by the New York Central and assigned to the Michigan Central whose lines included lines radiating out from Detroit, Michigan to the top of the Michigan, Toledo, Ohio, and across northern Indiana to Chicago. It was sold in November 1945 to a few owners which remained in operational condition until the 1950s.
Today this 0-6-0 locomotive is owned by the Whitewater Valley Railroad.
