New York Central No. 5433 was a class J-3a 4-6-4 "Hudson" Type steam locomotive built in 1937 by the American Locomotive Co. for the New York Central railroad.

It spent it’s whole life hauling the New York Central's crack passenger trains, such as the 20th Century Limited.

No. 5433 was retired early in 1956 and it was later sold for scrap.

  • In 2002, Lionel made a model of the 5433 for Lionel's 50th Anniversary Set.
  • At the Hiawatha Live Steamers in Tupper Lake, NY there's a rideable model of #5433 and its still operational today.
