New York Central No. 5421 was a class J-3a 4-6-4 steam locomotive, built by ALCO in October 1937 for the New York Central Railroad.

It was used for crack passenger service on the New York Central Railroad.

It was retired from service in November 1954 and later it was sold for scrap.

It was believed this locomotive took an end of steam excursion, but it is uncertain to this day, It is also one of few to be a hudson with a PT Tender.
