New York Central No. 2662 was a class L-1d 4-8-2 steam locomotive that was built for the New York Central.
The engine was built in July 1918 by the Lima Locomotive Works for freight service along as part of a batch of 45 engines (#2640-#2684) during that year by Lima. The Locomotive was eventually Retired in June 1952 as it was scrapped in October of that year, but the tender of the locomotive still exists. It is now used behind Lake Superior & Ishpeming No. 34 during steam excursion season at the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad.
