No.81 is a 2-6-4 tank steam locomotive.



History[]

No.81 was built in 1915 by Hamar Jernstøperi of Norway as builder's number 98 becoming the Norwegian State Railways last XXVI class. It was withdrawn from service in 1949 and preserved. It is owned by the Norwegian State Railways Museum and is stored pending restoration.[1][2][3]



Trivia[]

  • No.81 is easily forgotten due to how obscure it is and the fact it has never been displayed.
