The Norwegian State Railways XXVI Class are 2-6-4 tank steam locomotives.

History

The XXVI class are a class of two tank engine 2-6-4 locomotives. They were built in 1915 by Hamar Jernstøperi of Norway. Being the XXVI class of the Norwegian State Railways. The last of the class was withdrawn in 1949.

Preservation

The last of the class to be built No.81 has been preserved and is in storage at the Norwegian State Railways Museum in Hamar who own it. No.81 has never been on display or operational since it's withdrawal.
