The Norwegian State Railways XIII Class are 4-4-0 tender steam locomotive.

History

The XIII class are a class of nine tender 4-4-0 locomotives. The first two engines of the class were built in 1893 while the last of the class was built in 1903. Being built by Dübs and company of Scotland, Sächsische Maschinenfabrik (Formerly Richard Hartmann Locomotive Works) of Germany and Thunes and company of Oslo the capital of Norway. The XIII class were designed for passenger services and operated until the 1950s.

Preservation

Only one member of the XIII class was preserved that being No.7 which is preserved, on display in the Norwegian State Railways Museum in Hamar, Norway. It hasn't operated since it's NSR service.
