Alf is a 2-4-0 side tank steam locomotive.



History[]

Alf was built by Beyer, Peacock and company in 1870 as builder's number 992 for the Norwegian State Railways as part of the III class originally numbered 4. It was renumbered 21 in 1880 and mainly operated on the Hamar - Trondheim line from 1905 onwards. Until 1923 when it was removed from service. Alf was preserved and is on display in the Norwegian State Railways Museum in Hamar.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
