No.11 is a 0-4-0 saddle tank steam locomotive.

History[]

No.11 was built in 1892 by Manning Wardle and company of England originally for shunting operations on the Norwegian Main Railway as their D/H class. The Norwegian State Railways took over this railway and No.11 become part of the 7 (7a) class. It continued to operate until 1964 when it was withdrawn and stored pending it to be displayed in the main hall of Oslo Central station when it would be constructed. When these plans finally occurred another member of the class No. 25 was chosen, and No.11 continued to languish in storage. It is now owned by the Norwegian State Railways Museum in Hamar who also own No. 25. And in the 1980s the Norwegian Railway Club restored No.11 to working order and it now operates on the Krøder preserved line pulling small passenger trains.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
