No.225 is a 2-6-0 tender steam locomotive.



History[]

No.225 was built in 1911 by Thunes Mechanical Workshop in Oslo for the Norwegian State Railways as part of their 21b subclass. It operated until 1970 when it was withdrawn and transported to Grorud, Oslo for scrapping but was saved by the Norwegian Railway Club in 1974.

It was restored to operation in time for the Smaalens line 100th anniversary in 1982. No.225 operated on the Krøder line until 1995 when it was stored/displayed until 2009 when it operated again until 2014. And from 2014 to 2022 it was under overhaul at krøderbanens workshop. And in 2022 it was back in normal operating service for the 2022 season.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
