Mt. Lyell Railway Baldwin No.4 was a Baldwin locomotive on the Mt. Lyell Railway.


History[]

Mt Lyell Railway No.4 was built in 1897 and worked on mineral traffic until the 1950's when it was sold to a limestone quarry it was later joined by Abt No.4 in 1964 as a stationary boiler just like Baldwin No.4. It's components where dumped in to the quarry pits after the limestone quarry's closer which is know underwater.

  • It is the only Mt. Lyell Baldwin to semi survive.
  • It is also known as Baldwin No.4
