The Milwaukee Road Class 9-ES was a class of three EMD SW9 switcher diesel locomotives built by the Electro-Motive Division for the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railway (better known as the Milwaukee Road) in 1951.

In all, only three locomotives were ever constructed in 1951 by the Electro-Motive Division and they were all delivered to the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railway (better known as the Milwaukee Road) that same year in 1951.
All three locomotives were first numbered as 1643, 1644 and 1645, but all three would be renumbered to 620, 621 and 622 later on. remained in service on the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railway (better known as the Milwaukee Road) until both were retired between 1982 and 1984, and No. 620 (formerly No. 1643) is currently preserved as it was photographed at Indiana Rail Road in 2008. As for Nos. 621 and 622, their current whereabouts are unknown.
